What does the formula contain?

The label includes 0.9 mg melatonin and a proprietary blend that includes 5-HTP, magnesium glycinate, tart cherry, apigenin, lemon balm, L-theanine and GABA.

Melatonin safety

NCCIH says short-term melatonin use appears safe for most people, but long-term safety is not well established. People taking medicines should consult healthcare providers; NCCIH specifically flags supervision for people with epilepsy and those taking blood thinners.

5-HTP and serotonergic medicines

5-HTP is involved in serotonin pathways. Because combining serotonin-active substances can create risk, medicine interactions should be assessed by a qualified clinician or pharmacist rather than by an affiliate site.

Magnesium and medicines

NIH materials note that supplemental magnesium can interact with certain medicines, including some antibiotics and osteoporosis drugs. The Yu Sleep label does not state the individual magnesium amount inside its blend.

Possible unwanted effects

Any multi-ingredient supplement can cause individual reactions. Sleepiness, gastrointestinal discomfort, headache or changes in alertness can occur with some sleep-support ingredients. Stop use and seek medical advice for a concerning reaction.

Driving and alcohol

Because this is a nighttime sleep-support product and includes melatonin, avoid activities requiring full alertness after use until you know how you respond. Alcohol can disrupt sleep architecture and can compound impairment.
